What is TEDx?

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCasco Antiguo, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCasco Antiguo event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

About TEDxCasco Antiguo

TEDxCasco Antiguo brings together innovative thinkers, creators, and storytellers in the heart of Sevilla's historic quarter. Our mission is to spark meaningful conversations and inspire action through the power of ideas.

Nestled in the winding streets of one of Europe's most beautiful old towns, our event celebrates both tradition and innovation, history and future-thinking.

🎯 Our Mission

To create a platform for local voices and global ideas in Sevilla's cultural heart.

🌍 Our Vision

A community united by curiosity, inspired by diverse perspectives, and empowered to create change.

💡 Our Theme

ReviveReimagining sustainability and innovation to breathe new life into our communities, traditions, and planet.

Why REVIVE?

When you walk through Sevilla's Casco Antiguo, you see it everywhere: ancient buildings standing strong after centuries, cobblestone streets that have carried generations of footsteps, traditions that refuse to fade. This neighborhood doesn't just preserve the past — it brings it back to life, every single day.

That's what sustainability really means. Not freezing things in place, but giving them the energy to keep going, to evolve, to matter again.

REVIVE asks a simple question: What needs to come back? What ideas, practices, connections, or ways of being have we lost — or are close to losing — that could change everything if we brought them back?

Maybe it's the courage to rest when we're burned out. Maybe it's the craft of making things that last. Maybe it's remembering that our choices ripple outward — to our communities, our planet, the people who come after us.

This isn't about going backwards. It's about taking what's always been true and making it work for the world we're building now. Different perspectives, different fields, different voices — all exploring one powerful idea: revival is possible.
